Diamond Heist

Diamond is a  2016 very big Oldenburg colt!  We are very excited for his future.   We do however feel he will be one of those colts that needs time to mature before he can truly shine.

Diamond is currently 17.2hh at 30 months old.  He will be a very large horse.

His dam, Savoir Vivre (Savvy) was imported from Germany as a three year old.  Was evented to 3'3".  She is trained second level dressage but is pasture sound only.   Huge moving forward mare.  She is a tall 17.1-1/2 hh Chestnut with chrome by Shakespeare in love. She was imported from Germany thru the elite auction, and was an eventer before a career ending injury. She is a gentle giant with a great mind and WOW movement. Her Sire, Shakespeare in Love is the Sire of Steffen Peters great dressage horse Surpise who reportedly sold for $110000 Euros. Her Grandsire Hanoverian stallion Sherlock Holmes by Salvano who is also the grandsire of Anky Van Grunsven's Olympic gold medal winning mount Salinero. Sherlock Holmes was the overall 2nd placed stallion out of 43 with a total score of 145.49, with dressage score 141.14 and jumping 131.76 in Adelheidsdorf 1992. He so far got 8 approved stallions including 4 approved for the Hanoverian breed which are Sherwood, Shakespeare in Love, Sir Schölling and Sam Steele.   Talented and forward thinking with very expressive gaits. Can you say suspension?

Sire: Diamond Stud offers the most powerful Oldenburg bloodlines of today. His phenomenal sire Diamond Hit is a Champion many times over, including titles earned at the World Championships for Young Horses and the Bundeschampionat. The German Ministry of Agriculture honored Diamond Hit as the Best Licensed and Performance Tested stallion of all breeds in 2001. Diamond Hit is sired by international Grand Prix stallion Don Schufro. Diamond Hit's dam, Elite mare Loretta, is also dam of legendary Sandro Hit as well as the Premium stallion Royal Hit.

Diamond Stud's damline is hard to overlook. Damsire Lavarino was Champion of the 1996 Holsteiner Stallion Licensing. Lavarino's exquisite movement and athletic capability are exemplary of his sire Laval I's reliable influence. Laval I is considered one of the best modern Holsteiner influences, with offspring competing in the top levels in both jumping and dressage. Holsteiner blood is not only a guarantee for supremacy in the jumping arena, But have proven to be one of the most influential bloodlines in dressage as well. Lavall I completed his stallion testing in 1989 in Adelheidsdorf.

Diamond Stud's granddam is sired by none other than Rohdiamant, one of the most successful sons of the great Rubinstein I. Lisa Wilcox successfully campaigned Rohdiamant to Grand Prix, and went on to achieve Olympic status with his son Relevant. Rohdiamont has produced a number of offspring competing Grand Prix. His foals have a highly rideable index, are elastic, and elegant horses, which confirms him as a legacy.

In March 2009 at Diamond Stud successfully completed his 30 day test at Silver Creek Farms where he was the highest scoring stallion in his Walk, Trot & ride-ability, and 2nd highest scoring stallion for canter & jumping. This noble black stallion presents a striking appearance with his uphill build and all black coat, complete with four white stockings and a star. His movement is powerful, supple and athletic. Equally impressive is his gentlemanly demeanor in the barn and with people.

With a pedigree full of Grand Prix stars, Diamond Stud offers North American breeders a rich heritage of top performers and proven rideability.
Diamond Stud, has sired a high percentage of premium foals, his oldest offspring have just been started under saddle they are displaying not only, very good gaits, but also very good ride-ability.

Diamond Stud successfully completed the 70 day test at Silver Creek Farm in 2010. Some of his score highlights were, the Test Directors scores, Character "10" ,Temperament "9.5" Willingness to work "9" constitution "9" ridability "8.5" Judges scores movement walk "8.5" trot " 8.50" canter "8.75"

We are waiting to see what the future holds in store for Diamond.    We know that he has the movement for dressage, but  will not rule out that he could probably do hunters.   He has the pedigree for it.

We have such high hopes for Diamond that he is not for sale at this time.   He is growing up in the lush pastures and being a horse.
